Médard Schoenmaeckers has been appointed as Global Head of Communications at HSBC, replacing Pierre Goad who is now Group Head of Human Resources, retaining oversight of comms.
In his new role as Global Head of Communications, Médard (pictured) will report into Pierre. He joined HSBC in 2012 in Switzerland as Global Head of Communications, Private Banking. In 2014 he moved to London as Global Head of Communications, Retail Banking and Wealth Management.
Pierre originally joined HSBC in 2001, working in a series of comms and strategy roles until 2010. Having headed up communications at Zurich Insurance Group, Pierre rejoined HSBC in 2011 and was appointed a Group General Manager in 2014.
